Univera Serve First is continuing our fourth year of partnering with Vitamin Angels, an established, proven leader in serving our nation’s disadvantaged. Since 2007, this partnership has enabled Serve First to provide nourishment to children in rural Mississippi. (See Ruleville)

In 2009, Serve First is also taking part in Vitamin Angels’ “Operation 20/20” initiative, which is focused on providing eyesight-saving vitamin A to lactating women, infants, and children around the world. This program currently reaches about 10 million infants and children, and another 500,000 new mothers annually in 23 counties on three continents.

"'Operation 20/20' has grown from reaching 4.5 million children in 2007 to 7.5 million children in 2008 and 10 million children this year," said Vitamin Angels' President and Founder Howard Schiffer. "The support of the Univera Associates has assured that not only will these children not go blind, but we are actually increasing their survival rates by 23%!"
